“IT illiteracy plagues UK workforce”

Damning headline from a City & Guilds report on IT in the workplace
Over half of UK businesses rely on amateur IT assistance from self-trained staff, placing them under stress as they try to complete their own work in addition to the company’s IT support.
And, the report revealed, they often make the IT problem worse rather than better.
Over a third of those interviewed said that lack of IT knowledge had prevented them getting work done on time. Read more…
